OUR LIFE CONSISTS OF MANY OF BEFORE AND AFTER THINGS. PRETTY OFTEN WE DO NOT SEE THIS, AND LET ME TELL YOU - NOT BEING ABLE TO IDENTIFY THOSE, YOU MISS OPPORTUNITY...
As you know Dasha and I ministering to athletes in Moldova, and I would like to share our BEFOREs and AFTERs…
ONE of the stories, not directly, but involves our boy. Three month ago, we were in States and were looking for some different stuff we do not have in Moldova, that can help us with little newborn. Some of the baby things we bought, but most of it was graciously giving to us. On the way back to Moldova, (note: we spent almost 50 hours coming home – airports, planes, hotel, and layover… but this is another story about “Delta”) at the Chisinau airport we got just one suitcase… 2 other and the stroller was missing… What a shock!!! It’s not the end! We found out that keys from our apartment are not in the suitcase we’ve got. A lot of different thoughts and feeling were crossing my mind and body, and realizing that I have exhausted, pregnant wife beside me, just made everything horrible. That was on of those moments when you say: - what’s up God?
Staying in our friends place we kept calling Air Company for our stuff. Yes! Praise Lord – we have got them… Three days after, we finally, opened our door.
TWO well known commanders tried to conquer Russia in very short period of time. French guy Napoleon and Adolph Hitler. If you know history, it will help you to understand my daring 4 weeks plan. Our apartment is “Russia” and I was great commander “Napoleon”!
THREE weeks later we attended IBS (Institute Bible Study – obligation for every Campus Crusade Staff). New Testament, Book of Colossians – the course went great. We came home encouraged, full of enthusiasm, just had solid week of good fellowship with our colleagues… and found out that someone break-in our small storage, beside our apartment, which we used to store our suitcases because of repair. Were missing all the things we had for the baby: bottles, bags, cloths, breast pump etc. Before, we though we have everything we need for the baby. After break-in, we knew – we have nothing. Hurts? Yes, it does… Praise Lord we left stroller in the apartment and we still have it. Praise Lord we have brothers and sisters in Christ. Our friends, colleagues took care of us and we were able to buy some cloths we need.

FOUR weeks I planed to spend on repair meant 75 days of learning process “how to do it”. Trust me, I dreamed to be done as soon as possible. I even made agreement with… myself: “Ghena, you are not allowed to shave your beard until you are done with repair”. You are able to see me before and after.
You see, there are a lot of before and after in our life. Being able to identify them you can see God’s Blessing and Care.

Before we had just spiritual kids, in three weeks we expect our first baby boy! That means – after childbirth we going to be a father and a mother. Praise Lord for that!!!
How often you see these words, “before” and ”after”? Just see the importance of these words. More I think about those, more I understand how they apply to me, and how my life has been changed... BEFORE… AFTER…
